When I first got involved in the business I thought it would be great to eventually have an online shop as well as having the boutique. Of course opening an Etsy shop seemed to be the easiest. But now the task of photographing every product we have in stock and making sure we didn't accidentally sell something in the shop that was also sold online is way too complicated. So i'm trying to come up with another solution.
It would be great to increase our market and make our items accessible to out-of-towners that just don't get the chance to come to the boutique. So i'm thinking maybe all of the products that I post here on the blog can also be for sale online. Meaning that we open a Paypal account–probably the easiest way to handle money–and then if someone sees something they want can email me to find out prices and make sure it's still available. Then we'll wait for payment and snail-mail it along. This is definitely not a standard online shopping way, but I think it may work. It's also not a way to increase sales drastically but it's something for now atleast.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

great idea lady!
i have individual pictures of everything i've given you, which i can always send your way...
That sounds like a perfect idea to me.
hey doll,
with my experience, an online boutique needs a full-time employee as a traditional boutique needs one or two people running the show. i would focus on the boutique OR the online store. each requires a full-time committment. perhaps highlight one product per week to sell online? maybe something free to give away, auctions, craft competitions, or another creative promotion may help. expect a slow start the first year or two... i'll help in any way i can! <3CR
