One of the biggest challenges we've found is that most of the items in our shop are for women. There are a few unisex things, but primarily people get the sense that it's gender-specific. Many of the artists selling with us try to come up with products for men but it's more difficult.
Hopefully this will change.
Saying that, I posted about the Handmade Pledge a couple weeks ago that is floating around the web. I really want to sign it and hope all of you do too to support indie designers/crafters. But I know for myself, I was having a hard time committing to signing it because buying handmade for the men in my life is a bit more difficult.

I made my first messenger bag over the weekend. I hope I have time to start making more man-friendly bags like it. I would post a photo of it, but it's a christmas gift someone commissioned. Don't want to spoil the surprise!
